My Journey as a Journalist
My interest in journalism, design and storytelling was sparked in eight grade, after being chosen as one of four middle schoolers to be on my 6-12 school's yearbook staff. Now as Editor-in-Chief of my high school newspaper, I've worked to improve our digital media and to better reflect our community through diversity and equity initiatives.

In the past four years I've worked on news stories, features, arts/culture and investigative stories, both individually and collaboratively.

My sophomore year, I was named Design editor, laying out pages and working with visuals. I continue to design pages as Editor-in-Chief.

Inspired by my father, my eye for photography developed through journalism, capturing a range of people and events.
